After leaving the locked palace gate, I started wandering the grounds some more. What started off as fun got me scared after a while. I was lost! Found some guy parked in a LandRover, talking on his cell phone. My eyes pleaded for help, but he didn't stop talking on the phone for one second, didn't crack the window an inch. Oh well... wandered some more and found a narrow lovely part of the Thames. I saw these beautiful swans, just the two of them in their little pond. I found a main path eventually. For me it was a fun adventure, all packed into one afternoon. Once back in downtown I walked along the shop-lined streets. I listened to a 17-year-old Paraguayan harpist play on the sidewalk.
