Pretty Boy Freud (Ed and I, on this trip) headed out to Seattle to play at DjangoFest NorthWest.

Thanks so much to the Massey's for putting us up, to Nick Lehr for organizing the event, and to bassist Lance Haslund and guitarist Ted Gottsegen, of Savitrio, for backing us up.

Savitrio went first, followed by Hot Club Sandwich, and then us, Pretty Boy Freud. Jon Thor Williams has a thorough list of all the bands and their set lists.

Then, Ed invited Neil Andersson of Pearl Django and Jan Brouwer of Robin Nolan Trio and Pigalle 44 for an on-stage jam.

Then it was off to the Dog House tavern for jamming. Greg Ruby of Hot Club Sandwich and Ed Cotton of Pretty Boy Freud are playin' away.

Instead of musical chairs it was "swappin bass". Guitarist Greg takes a turn.

Thank you Henri for these jam pics, including the one of the "Meeting in the Ladies Room" jam.

It was getting kind of loud, so I convinced luthier and former Pearl Django guitarist Shelley Park to play some music in the ladies room!

This is a 200 lb doggie named Sarah who lives at the Ashingdon Manor B&B. This was one nice B&B -- had a fluffy feather duvet -- there no way I could stuff that into my suitcase ;)
